Frontiers is the hub of cutting-edge research in Hungary — a place where excellence attracts excellence, and research groups join forces to build international cooperation networks generating knowledge that would not be possible in isolation.
Frontiers does not build parallel projects. It builds an ecosystem — a space where scientific fields reinforce each other and shared standards accelerate thinking. Here, excellence does not compete but inspires, and new directions emerge from meaningful scientific exchange.
Groups working in the fields of natural sciences, medicine, engineering, and technology do not work in isolation. They connect, interact, and think together within the Frontiers ecosystem – a dynamic that sparks new ideas.
FRONTIERS FELLOWS
The Frontiers Fellow community is formed by invitation of the Board of Trustees. It is not a position one can apply for, but rather something to achieve, a recognition of scientific excellence. Globally known, highly recognized researchers at the most dynamic stage of their careers establish and lead knowledge centers in Hungary that push the boundaries of curiosity-driven research while keeping pathways open to real-world applications.
Our community is shaped by excellence — attracting the best researchers to Hungary and keeping exceptional talent here, at every stage of their research journey.
FRONTIERS INVESTIGATORS
The Frontiers Investigator program brings together outstanding researchers with exceptional track records who are ready to build internationally competitive research groups within the Frontiers ecosystem. They further develop their field of expertise — and themselves — alongside world-renowned Frontiers Fellows.
Competitive research groups operate in a cutting-edge environment where freedom of curiosity and Nobel-level scientific standards coexist. Within a long-term framework supported by dedicated research structures, They can focus entirely on their most important questions.
Publication is not the endpoint. Knowledge turns into real-life applications, new technologies, and measurable impact on health and society.
Mentoring young talent is a natural part of our culture — the next generation of researchers grows within the same ecosystem that sets the standard today.
